These are some Demo Clips for Rock Market Records (my label). I wrote, recorded, produced and played everything except the drums. Lenny Vitulli is the drummer.
All material is copyright 2004 by Perran Davis except +++ copyright - Philadelphia Phantoms and *** copyright Perran Davis and Rachael Karpo.
Below are 3 experimental Heavy Rock/ Electronica songs and 2 short demo clips Perran did about 7 years ago that are available as MP3s. The 3 songs are of an experimental nature, so we want to make clear to you that they are not "Perran's typical style" because his "style" encompasses many different styles and varied influences. Each one is quite different from the other, so to get an idea of what he can do, give all 3 a listen, because he approaches each song quite differently.
Perran wrote, arranged, engineered, produced and of course performed all of the parts (except where noted): Guitar, Bass, Keyboards and he sequenced all of the Drums and a few of the wilder keyboard parts using Cakewalk.
We want to credit his good friend Jeff Walker for the Les Paul solo, after the clean Strat sounding solo in "Wouldn't You Like", as well as the solo that directly precedes the first Bridge in "Get Wild (In My Dreams)". Jeff has a style that Perran admires and likes a lot, and thought he did a better job at capturing the feeling Perran was after as a writer, then what Perran had tracked for those two parts.
"Wouldn't You Like" and "When You Walk Into the Room" are both instrumentals that still need vocals. When Perran finds the right vocalist those songs will be posted with singing too. Someone like John Corabi or Sebastian Bach come to mind..... Since these songs are not even close to what Perran wants to do with a band, it may be some time before they are completed.
